Holy crap! This is a major problem! It stops BitDefender from updating, disables Avast! To detect it, and does not allow MalwareBytes Anti-Malware to open. I need help! How do i tell what Registery keys it added to my computer? I tried deleating it using Command Prompt in safe mode, and it came back!
Jacob, a program called Prevx can detect all the locations of Ernel32.dll, and which registry keys are infected… Unfortunately the free version doesn’t remove it but you CAN see the exact filepath/registry entry of any infections on the computer.
Hope I helped, man.
^ Forgot to mention that knowing the location of infections means you can terminate processes and delete files manually. It’s how I’ve deleted ernel and fixed my netbook.
if you need help opening malwarebytes… just rename it to a .com extention it will still work
I recently had something on my computer that disabled Windows update, prevented Malwarebytes from opening, and redirected Google links. I went to Malwarebytes Support webpage and sent an email to the email address listed. A tech emailed me 2 hours later and started helping me. He did a very good job of resolving my known issues. Of course I just did an AVG scan and found ernel32.dll
Malwarebytes is the painless to kill malware I would highly recommend it but you must also get another software on your computer such as antivirus as malwarebytes recommends you get a an package Computer
