we are facing c drive full message due to winsta.exe ,in windows xp mechines, our company is using symantec endpoint 11.0 in all mechines with one AV server.but symantec is not detecting this file as a virus .if any solution for this problem kindly foward solution to ramasudhas@yahoo.co.in
first it happen to my office computer in august, after a month it spread to all my friend computer. we can’t do anything if this happen; save file, print out, networking. i follow above step, to delete the winsta.exe manually but in a few day later it happen again to my computer.
my office use symantec, but it’s look not working on winsta.exe…
is there any tools that can delete winsta.exe automatically or blocked winsta.exe from being raised to GB size?
first delete winsta.exe from c:\windows\system32 and create winsta.exe file with the help of notepad and change the properties to read-only.paste the files in c:\windows\system32
or
create batch file
